Egypt 2027 Booking Terms
Highlighted [Tee to confirm] notes mark a choice that is Tee's to make. Everything else is written to match what the site, the bookings and the Egypt page already say. Have it checked by a lawyer before it goes live.
These terms form the Participation & Payment Agreement for the Egypt Retreat, 6–20 March 2027, and the optional Red Sea Integration, 20–23 March 2027. The retreat is organised and sold by Teane "Tee" Kenny, trading as Shamanic Dreaming, with Kiri Kenny as retreat coordinator. Paying a deposit means you have read and accepted these terms.
1. What you are booking
With your deposit invoice we send a booking summary: your room type (twin share or single), your price, the nights and services included, and any pathway or extension you've chosen. That summary, the inclusions listed on the retreat page on the day you pay your deposit (a copy is attached to your summary) and these terms make up your booking. Later changes to the web page don't change what you booked. The group tipping pool is [Tee to confirm: US$… per person], collected once before departure. Accommodation runs from your arrival night on [Tee to confirm: 5 March (arrival night included, as the stays page shows) — the page currently says "14 nights"] to 20 March.
2. Prices and currency
- Retreat and Red Sea Integration prices are set in US dollars, per person. The Seeker and Initiate pathways are priced in Australian dollars.
- Australian dollar amounts shown beside US dollar prices are approximate. Each invoice shows the US dollar amount, and the exact Australian dollar amount is set on the day you pay, at [Tee to confirm: the rate applied by Stripe or our bank that day]. [Tee to confirm: you may pay in either currency; any bank or card conversion fees charged to you are yours.]
- Refunds are paid in the currency you paid in, to the original payment method, within 14 days of being confirmed.
3. Securing your place
- A deposit of US$1,500 (≈ A$2,150) per person secures your place. The deposit is non-refundable, except where these terms say otherwise (sections 7 and 8).
- The balance is paid in instalments on 31 October, 30 November and 31 December 2026 and 31 January 2027, and is due in full by 1 February 2027. Bookings made after an instalment date pay the instalments already passed at the time of booking.
- Payment is by card (Stripe) or bank transfer, invoiced by Shamanic Dreaming.
- If a payment is more than [Tee to confirm: 14] days overdue, we will remind you in writing. If it is still unpaid 7 days after that reminder, we may release your place, and section 6 applies as if you had cancelled.
- The Australian Launch Offer price applies to the first 5 bookings or bookings made by the published close date, whichever comes first.
4. Healing pathways
The Seeker (+A$555) and The Initiate (+A$1,555, limited to 4 guests) are optional. Choose yours when you book or on your Guest Information Form; packages close 6 weeks before departure. The Galactic Blueprint Report included in these pathways is delivered before departure. If you cancel a pathway or the retreat, you are refunded the parts of the pathway not yet delivered; once your report has been written, its value ([Tee to confirm: A$366, the report's usual price]) is kept and the report is still yours.
5. Optional Red Sea Integration (20–23 March)
- A deposit of US$500 (≈ A$720) secures your place; the balance is paid with your final retreat instalment.
- You can cancel the Integration on its own under the same timetable as section 6. If the main retreat is cancelled by us, the Integration is refunded in full.
- You arrange your own international flight home from Hurghada (HRG).
6. If you need to cancel
Please tell us in writing (email is fine). The deposit is non-refundable [Lawyer to confirm: that the US$1,500 deposit reflects Shamanic Dreaming's real early costs (operator deposits, flights, permits), so keeping it is fair to a consumer]. For money paid beyond the deposit, we refund what you've paid less any costs we have already paid or committed for you and can't recover (such as hotel nights, internal flights and site permits), not counting costs the deposit already covers, and we tell you what those costs are. As a guide:
- [Tee to confirm: more than 90 days before 6 March 2027: everything paid beyond the deposit is refunded]
- [Tee to confirm: 90 to 60 days before: what you've paid beyond the deposit, less costs already committed for you]
- [Tee to confirm: fewer than 60 days before: most costs are committed by then, so the refund is usually small; we still return anything we recover or can resell]
If we fill your place from a waiting list, we refund everything you've paid, including the deposit, less an administration fee of [Tee to confirm: US$250]. You may also transfer your place to another person approved by Tee instead of cancelling, at no charge other than any name-change fee charged by an airline or hotel. Travel insurance with cancellation cover is the way to protect yourself against having to cancel.
7. If we change the itinerary
- The itinerary is a working plan. Minor changes, such as the order of visits, a different hotel of similar standard, or a substitute activity of similar value, may be needed for weather, safety, cultural or operational reasons.
- If we have to make a material change before departure, such as removing a destination or a major site, we will tell you as soon as possible and you can choose to accept the change (with a refund of any saving), take a credit, or cancel for a full refund of everything paid, including the deposit.
- If a material change is needed during the journey, we will provide a reasonable alternative where we can. If the change is within our control, we refund the value of anything significant you miss. If it is caused by events outside our control, we refund what we recover and help you claim the rest from your travel insurance; this doesn't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. If we cancel
- The retreat runs with a minimum of [Tee to confirm: 8] guests. We will confirm it is going ahead by [Tee to confirm: 1 December 2026]. If it can't go ahead for this or any other reason within our control, you receive a full refund of everything paid to Shamanic Dreaming, including deposits.
- If the retreat has to be cancelled or cut short by events outside our control (for example war, unrest, an Australian government "do not travel" warning, natural disaster, epidemic or airline failure), we return all money we still hold for you, and refund what we recover from hotels, transport and guides. We will show you any costs we have already paid and can't recover. Instead of a refund you may choose a credit toward a future retreat, but you don't have to.
9. Travel documents, insurance and health
- You are responsible for a passport valid for at least six months after arrival, your Egyptian visa, and any vaccinations your doctor recommends.
- Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical care, emergency evacuation, cancellation and the full retreat dates is a condition of joining. Please take it out when you pay your deposit and send us the policy details before departure. Check what it covers for cancellation by the organiser and for events such as unrest or epidemics, as policies differ.
- The retreat involves early starts, long travel days, walking on uneven ground and sand, desert camping and warm days with cold nights. Please tell us about any health condition, mobility need, allergy or medication that we should know about, so we can support you. We may ask for a doctor's clearance.
- Guests must be [Tee to confirm: 18] or over, unless agreed with Tee in advance.
10. On the journey
- This is a conscious retreat. We ask that alcohol is kept to a minimum and that everyone respects the group, the guides, local customs, dress codes at sacred sites and the law of Egypt.
- If a guest's behaviour puts others at risk or seriously disrupts the group, Tee may ask them to leave the retreat after talking it through with them. In that case we refund the value of unused services we can recover, and the guest pays their own costs of leaving.
- Ceremonies, meditations and healing work are offered for spiritual and personal growth and are not a substitute for medical or psychological care. You take part at your own discretion and can step out of any activity at any time.
- We may take group photos for our own records and promotion. [Tee to confirm: we will always ask before sharing any photo in which you can be identified.]
11. Our responsibility
Shamanic Dreaming sells the retreat as a package and is responsible for providing the services in your booking with due care and skill. Transport, hotels, site entries and guiding are provided through a licensed Egyptian tour operator and other local providers; we name them, with any terms of theirs that apply to you, before you pay your deposit (ask us and we'll send them) and again in your booking pack. Where one of them fails to provide part of your booking, we will help put it right, and refund or compensate you for anything you miss as the Australian Consumer Law requires, whether or not we can recover it from them.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, including the guarantees that services are provided with due care and skill and are fit for their purpose.
12. General
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Questions or a booking: info@shamanicdreaming.com.
